I joined Ace Centre in 2012 following a slightly diverse career. Firstly in sales and account management in the printing industry, followed by teaching in the health and social care sector, then teaching ICT to students. My involvement with AAC and Assistive Technology started mid 1990’s when my daughter was born, who has complex disabilities and is herself an AAC user. My relationship with Ace Centre dates back to 1998 when I sought advice about my child’s emerging communication and technology needs. Today, my role at Ace Centre is to support our team of AAC consultants, with particular focus on training, creating resources, AAC implementation and support. Outside the world of AAC, I enjoy dining out, travelling, going to music gigs, theatre and reading. I have also been known to go to the gym occasionally!
